Open living space with a slatted wood divider, floating shelves and a glass balcony facing the water, Folkstone Way rebuild

Folkstone Way

MADE TO STAY

for good

The owners were downsizing, but they wanted the new home to feel completely their own. The original three-bedroom condo was stripped back and rethought from scratch.

Within the limits of the strata, the renovation became a fully custom rebuild, including a twenty-one-foot feature wall and slatted detailing around the skylight.

At the base of the stairs, a commissioned carving by a Kwakwaka'wakw artist Rande Cook became one of the anchors of the home and helped shape the space around it.
